What Is Ordinary Time in the Bible?
Feast
The weeks of the year that are not Advent, Christmas, Lent, or Easter. We follow the life of Jesus.
It can mean
- How long: 33 or 34 weeks, in two parts. One goes from the Baptism of the Lord to Lent. The other, from Pentecost to Advent.
- What it celebrates: not one particular aspect, but the whole mystery of Christ, above all on Sundays.
- At Mass: we read the life of Jesus and what he taught, Sunday after Sunday.
